Freeriding

When freeriding on Kitzsteinhorn, you will experience the luxury of untouched deep powder snow.

Together with native guides you will explore the most beautiful lines away from the prepared pistes. In workshops you will learn everything you need to know about freeriding so that you will be doing so safely.

The finest powder, bright blue skies, and a soothing stillness: it is a divine setting you will find on Mt. Kitzsteinhorn in Kaprun. But before we can go down the deep snow slopes, preparation is the be-all and end-all: Safety comes first.

At the entrance of each freeride route there is a Freeride Info Point, where you will find information on the nature and qualities of the slopes as well as their dangerous spots. In addition there are tips on safe riding behaviour and how to ride the nicest line. The marked freeride routes are obviously not prepared. Naturally, frequent freeride camps are held so that freeriding can be even more enjoyable!

Kitzsteinhorn is also a site of the X Over Ride, a part of the Freeride World Tour qualifiers!
