There is a wide range of ski tours on the nearby Kitzsteinhorn. Two routes start at the 1,976-metre Langwiedboden, which can be reached by a cable car ascent. The first route is the Schneekönigin ski tour: along the edge of the piste you reach the Alpincenter at 2,443 metres after about 470 metres in altitude. Once there, treat yourself to a hearty snack in the Kitzsteinhorn restaurant to replenish your energy reserves.

The second tour in the impressive glacier ski area on the Kitzsteinhorn is called the "icebreaker" and requires a good level of fitness. This tour also starts at Langwiedboden, but passes the Alpincenter and leads you past the top station of the Maurer lift. You will climb an incredible 2,875 metres in altitude and be rewarded with a fantastic view of the Großglockner. So you can be sure of pure happiness after the demanding ascent!
